What happens to transparency when converting to JPG? ＋

JPEG has no alpha channel. With "white background" enabled, transparent areas become white; uncheck it to render transparency as black.

Which format should I choose? ＋

Photos: JPEG or WebP. Graphics needing transparency or crisp text: PNG. WebP usually gives the smallest files and is supported by all modern browsers.
